Tower Docks are the ultimate in pole dock solutions. Typically, tower docks are suitable for many of the same conditions as a pole dock but they have the added benefit of being lifted out of the water with a winch. Tower docks require minimal adjustment, and you can install and remove the whole dock each season without having to get in the water.
Tower docks are hand crafted by heavily trained welders using only the highest quality Canadian materials at our factory in Portland. Each system features a welded marine grade aluminum frame and stainless-steel fasteners to ensure your dock will last a lifetime without corrosion. Tower docks are offered in easily removable cedar and SureStep decking.
Hinge Location – does your shoreline have a concrete pad, steel frame platform, deck or another form of solid foundation for the
tower dock pivot from? We offer solutions for this on a case-by-case basis if required.
Anchor Points – tower docks require suitable anchor points to winch up the dock. Different options include anchor bolts into
rocks, trees, concrete pads, structures etc.
Tower dock length is typically determined based on desired water depth. How far out do you need to go to be in deep enough water to dock your boat or swim? Tower docks are available in 10’- 50’ lengths.
Additional length can be added using traditional pole docks or ramps and floating docks. Traditional tower docks are offered in 6’ 8’ and 10’ wide. Towered shore decks can be up
to 30’ wide, check out our gallery for a variety of shapes and sizes.
Tower docks are available in straight out or “T” shape and can be flat or ”step-down”.
Straight – most common tower dock design, allows for boat mooring on both sides and room off the end for swimming or sitting.
“T” Shape - allows for a seating platform at the end of the tower dock. Offered in various sizes.
“Step-down” – step down tower docks are custom made to allow for uneven shorelines or elevated platforms to get the dock
closer to the water from its starting point.
Tower docks are custom based on your shoreline. A site inspection during the quoting stage is strongly recommended to ensure that you are a good tower dock candidate.
Most clients have their tower docks professionally installed for the first time to ensure it is done properly and give the owner the opportunity to ask questions, watch and learn along the way.
Almost all of our tower docks can be winterized by one person – huge benefit. Decking panels are removed, cables attach to
anchor points and dock and the dock is winched up and out of the water. Winter Safety cables are then attached for additional
safety from winds/ snow and ice build up.
