Named after its location, Golden Lake and the colour of the aerial photos. The golden tower project featured a 50 ft step down tower dock with a 12x12 platform at the end. This dock required a sunken concrete pad at the shoreline and adequate bracing to support the weight of a 2-tiered dock. This project showcases our ability to build large custom tower docks… you dream it, we build it!
Over the years, Lake Ontario waterfront owners battle annual water level fluctuations. A dock solution that overcomes this issue (where floating docks are suitable) combines both a fixed dock portion and floating dock portion. The fixed portion remains safely above the high-water mark while the ramp and floating section can change with fluctuating waters making it ideal for swimming and docking boats.
This custom shoreline deck was built on a 35ft steel beam anchored into bed rock and contours the uneven shore. Once the deck was built, the customers added a ramp, floating dock and a boat lift to complete this awesome waterfront.
After removing the skirting and deck boards of this crib dock, we were pleasantly surprised that the crib was showing little signs of rot. In order to install new and level decking, aluminum frames were custom built on small adjustable legs and bolted to the crib. Each section has independent levelling capabilities and can be converted to a floating dock in the event of a crib shift or failure. Innovative thinking and planning for the unexpected won the hearts of these happy clients.
In order to tower this ramp for easy winter storage, an adjustable concrete block counterweight with a steel frame was installed. The ramp is now freestanding thanks to all the weight underneath the dock section at the shore. No poured concrete or extensive shoreline work required for this one!
